Hot & Spicy

Well, this has been a week! I have had NO time at my desk this week due to family issues so I'm glad I managed to get a couple cards made at our paper crafters group last Saturday.  This card is my "Spicy" theme card for our local stamper group on the 22nd.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do until I was searching for something in my old wood mounted stamps that I've had for YEARS!

Way back when I loved Copper Leaf stamps. I think the company went out of business quite a few years ago and the last post on their FB page is May of 2016 as Artistic Rubber Stamps (last owner??) put the page on hold for a move.  The website I found wouldn't open so there is no more info.

I used some cool cork looking paper I had to frame the chilis. I colored them with my Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers. I'm slowly getting the hang of these vibrant dye-based water color markers.  The words hot and spicy are from the Sunshine Alphabet Stickers, just wish they had a "&" in the package.  Oh well. I used my Stardust Clear gel pen on the stamped image on the lines in the leaves and chilis. A few sparkles for a bit more bling and now all I have to do is decorate an envelope!  I do have a single chili to use on the envelope.

A friend gave me a tiny stamp of a bikini to use so I'm trying to decide if I want to make 2 cards.  We'll see how my time goes as I really need to start working on our taxes.

Do you have stamps from back when you first started stamping?
