Easter Greetings on Plaid

As I start thinking of my Easter card class in March I was reminded of a cool technique of making my own plaid background using Fun Stampers Journey's Liquid Colors.

I got my inspiration for this card from FSJ's Ready, Set, Spring Project Video. You can do a search for it quite easily.  I used a great rubber stamp set called Fancy Eggs and its coordinating die set for the majority of my images.  How do you like my plaid background?  You can see how I made it by watching my Feb. 14 video on YouTube or FSJ's video.

I wanted the chickie to look like it was kinda nesting in the eggs. I adhered all my stamped images to a die cut piece of velum.

This was fun to make but just a bit messy.  I didn't do a very good job getting my stripes evenly placed but I do like the watercolor look.  Have you tried a technique like the plaid?
