Mele Kalikimakea

I finally opened and played with a new stamp set by FSJ called Deck the Palms.  The stamps are clear.  I usually don't care for clear stamps and have not had the best luck with them but it was time I gave them another chance and used dye based inks, not fusion.  I used Momento dye inks and I think that made the difference.  I like how my images turned out!  I used my stamp positioner for all the stamping.

The stamps are made for layering, basically 2 steps needed for the pineapple and palm.  The print background paper is from PhotoPlay. I got a cool pack of Hawaiian/Beach theme at the crop/retreat I attended last month.  I used a couple Silks on the Whip Cream the pineapples are on.  Just needed to break up all that white.

Here's a closer look at the pineapples.  Pretty cool! There is a couple in our church that the husband is from Hawaii.  I bet they'd love this card!

I also made a YouTube of the making of this card so check it out.
