Cat, Bat, Moon, and More

At our last SALSA (a Tucson stamp group) meeting Sept. 7, Rachel, a member, demo'ed a Z Fold card.  Well, I taught this style at a class a couple years ago but decided to make one for the speciality swap at this Saturday's SALSA meeting.  It is on YouTube dated yesterday and you can see it if you click on the YouTube logo in the side bar.

I used some new and some old Spellbinders & Fun Stampers Journey products and finished it after my FB live video was over.  I had a few more things I wanted to do to my card and you don't need to watch stuff dry, etc.

Here is my card closed. It really is a lot easier than you think!  You take a standard A2 sized card and fold the top in half!  Then take a strip (or in my case a die), cut to 8 1/2" x whatever width you want, score at 4 1/4" and 6 3/8" and adhere the ends.  Actually I  simplified it a lot.  You can find OODLES on Pinterest!  I used quite a few images from the new Hey Boo stamp set and the pumpkin face from the Jack O Lantern stamp set.

This photo shows better what I kinda explained.  I tried to get a good photo of the eyes of the spider, cat, and bat as I added drops of Journey Glaze to them but they just wouldn't show up in my pictures. They are real cool looking and almost seems like they glow!

I used my Arteza Real Brush Pens directly on my stamp then stamped my card stock.  I used a stamp positioner as I colored the stamp 3 times to get good coverage.

Isn't my moon a hoot!  I sponged the edge and embossed to kinda look like the craters!  The background paper is long retired but is part of the Spooky Prints 6x6 pad from long ago.

I just have to decorate the envelope and put the card and envy in a plastic sleeve for the swap.  I bet there will be a variety of fun cards at the swap!
