Joy!

While in the Phoenix, AZ area last week for a 4 day crop/retreat I did got a bunch of cards and Christmas projects made.  This is one of the card I finished while there.  (I finished about 3 after getting home.)

I used the new die from Spellbinders called Joy. I've seen a few fun ideas using it, even Jennifer McGuire Ink on YouTube!  This is what it looks like:

I plan on playing more with this!

And my card....

The cool print paper is from The Paper Collage.  I actually visited the store the day before the crop/retreat started and spent a bundle!!  If you're in the Phoenix area you should check it out!

It took quite a while as I did a lot of die cutting for all those tiny pieces!  I even used one of my Picket Fence Studio brushes to add a bit of (retired ink) color to the center of the pink flowers. The deep red base and oval are from a retired card stock that I have oodles of! And the Joy is die cut from some glitter paper I got for Christmas last year. A touch of Sparkle Silk on the centers of the pink flowers look pretty cool but they just didn't show up in my photos.

My Live video (only on FB, not on YouTube this time) yesterday I showed all the new goodies I got from Spellbinders & FSJ this past weekend.  I almost wish I didn't have to get ready for a class next week!
