Bandaids and Chicken Soup

Recently our oldest son had an accident.  He broke his first bone ever and he's in his early 50s!  He broke his wrist while playing a bit of parking lot basketball where he works. Last week he had surgery to reassemble his wrist.  We're praying for his speedy healing.  But anyway, last week I made a card for him.  I only have a recently retired FSJ set called Get Well so I used what I had.

I started by making a gate fold card base. The stamped bandaids over lap with 2 on 1 side and 1 on the other.

I can tell I don't use my acrylic blocks very often as I have "shadows" and "halos". And using my PanPastel almost emphasized them!   I doubt the son will notice.

Here's the inside. I colored my images with Color Burst colored pencils. I did some faint shading and the spoon shows it up nicely. The cup is too faint so see unless it shows up when you click on the photo.

I have to admit I'm not real pleased with how this turned out but I think the son will like it.
