Another Wednesday, Another Desk

We've been getting some much needed rain but it's not enough.  Lots of clouds and rumbles but, drat, barely a drip.  Hopefully soon.

Today is the day you get the opportunity to see my desk in whatever shape it was when I took the picture yesterday late afternoon.  I actually had a project on it.  I'm making a card for our oldest son who fell playing basketball and shattered his wrist. He had surgery this past Monday and the surgeon was able to get the pieces together.

This weekly view is brought to you through the love of our head desker, Julia at the Stamping Ground.  I have actually met in person a couple gals that used to take part is this tour de desks.  Most live in England.

You'll have to click on the picture to enlarge it but the card I'm working on is a gatefold sitting right above a stamp on an acrylic block just to the right of my ink pad. You can also see my paper trimmer sitting on some PanPastels, the stamp set just to the right between it and the ink pad, and a scrap of paper that I'm stamping 3 bandaids on.  I have my cleaning rag sitting my my Platinum 6 platform and a pack of light brown paper under that. So, my desk is busy.

I hope to get around this afternoon to desks as this morning my hubby has a dental appt.,  he has a cavity and is getting it filled, then we're heading to Nogales, Arizona (nearest to our dentist office and takes his insurance) to the NextCare to get his shoulder checked and xrayed.  I tried to get him an appointment with his primary care doctor but there wasn't any openings until September!! He's in too much pain to wait that long.

So please leave a comment if you care then head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the links to oodles of desks!

Ouch to your Son and his break, not a nice break to have. Glad they have managed to put it all together again. Love gate fold cards. I did smile at the little square you are left to craft in. We crafter's can work on a square inch if needs be. Happy WoywW Tracey #8

Hi Carol. I love poking around your desk. It's got a lot of goodies on it. I can't wait to see what you create with the gatefold base. They are a fun change for cards. I hope your husbands' dental and shoulder appointments go well. I agree, waiting isn't an option when you are in pain. Today I squeezed in a little watercolor but going to go read a bit before I have to take my son to his dentist appointment. Have a blessed day and thanks for sharing.

sorry I’m late! My word Carol, your son and your husband are suffering ouchies, poor chaps. Your desk really is busy, I like the use of the platform tray, and am interested to see Pan Pastels again, they completely passed me by and Shaz In Oz was using hers last week, which made me wonder why I haven’t even tried them! weird huh. Still when I see what you do with these things, I realise that I’ll need lessons to be able to copy your skills!

I haven't done a gatefold card in a while, which can be a lot of fun. Hope everything went well with your husband's appointments. Happy belated WOYWW! #26
