I finally got a 2nd card made as a sample for my September "Starry Starry Night" card class. I used 3 new products from the Hello Summer collection and I think it turned out pretty good!
I wanted my spaceship and astronaut to look like they're on a planet. I used the big star stamp from the Sparkle Stars stamp set, and the other images from the Space Cadet stamp set. I had to detail cut the spaceship and astronaut.
I stamped these 2 on Brushed Silver card stock and heat set them as the ink takes a LONG time to dry. I used the Yummy Dots embossing folder and debossed to make the planet look like it has craters.
I think I needed a detail white embossing powder as the letters aren't crisp. I used a retired vellum that has silver stars on it. It is hard to see them but you can see them better in my first picture. I used real thin strips of foam squares behind the words which hid them quite well. A few sequins from the Starry Night jar added some bling.
I can think of a little guy who'd love this card. Do you know someone?
