Flip Flop Love

I decided to use a die that was given to me by a very good friend, Angie, after we got home from a Scrapbook Expo in Mesa, AZ last March. I love my Crocs and you rarely find me not in them until about October or November and back in them in March.  I wear out a pair a year. So Angie bought me this die because of that.

This is a very detailed die and I had to shim it with a piece of card stock across the middle and ran it through my Platinum 6 forward and back.

And my card. I used a piece of card stock that I colored way back using FSJ's Liquid Colors and some Cool Pool Silk. I had to use my Bloom Tool to poke out a few little pieces that stuck in the paper. I used an old corner punch that I've had for YEARS then wound FSJ Whip Cream Thread around the card.

Here you can see some of the detail of the die and the coloring.  Some of my Summer Play Sparkles came off their adhesive so I did have to use some glue dots.  I adhered my Hello on a piece of Lemon Drop card stock and cut it out.

Here's a closer look at the corner notch. I've heard it called a Southwest Corner or a Notched Corner. I looked on Blitsy but didn't find it or the Flip Flop die on their site. I couldn't even tell you what vendor booth Angie got the Flip Flop die at!

But I think this card is great for an early summer event. How would you use it?
