A Double Pocket Challenge

One of our SALSA gals is a SU! demo and she showed how to make a Double Pocket card this past Saturday at our monthly meeting.  We all got a piece of single sided black/white paper and a template.  Then she challenged us to finish the card. Late yesterday afternoon I got the opportunity to get to my work desk and play.  If you google this kind of card you come up with all kinds of examples and even directions.  I bet you can find it on Pinterest also.

I had some fun b/w prints in my RSVP Prints paper pack from FSJ and I used it to make the flower and add the top right corner piece.  (Since this card is light weight paper I needed to reinforce areas that were flimsy.  I added a narrow strip of double cardstocks to anchor my flower.  A little Cosmic Grape Splash brushed on the decorative corner tied the colors together.  The orange dots are from my retired stash.

I lined the inside, yes this does open like a card) with a piece of black licorice card stock then added another "corner". I carefully curled the flower petals with my crease tool but it will all be flat as the card will be placed in my SALSA bag for next month.

I like how this developed. This would be great for a book mark or a little goodie or two.
