A Summer Scene

Fun Stampers Journey released their Easy Breezy Spring Collection last month but I never got around to making the 4 cards that came kitted in the Project Box.  In fact, I forgot about them until I cleaned and rearranged my desk last week and found them under a pile of paper. Oh my!

This fun stamp set, Spring Build-A-Scene, even has a great coordinating die set by the same name! But I did change up 1 thing on this card from the original directions.... I used the banner die from the Winter Build-A-Scene die set!  How cool was that!   But the cool little blue scallop along the bottom of the "frame" is made using a die from the Winter die set, too.  How do you like the embossed plaid background piece?  I love the new Pretty Plaid embossing folder, so versatile!

You can see the layers of scenery here along with the embossed banner.

I used my large Dauber and pad to color the background for a sky look.  I contemplated adding a cloud but I decided to keep the sky clear.

I hope to make a scenic box using this stamp and die set along with some from the Winter die set.
I've done a few using the Winter Build-A-Scene for Christmas gifts this past year.

Doesn't this scene remind you of lying on the grass looking up at the clouds and trying to decide what shapes they were?
