Last Wednesday I made my weekly video on FB (and uploaded to YouTube) of
embossing white core card stock or Core'Dinations card stocks. While I
was prepping and playing with different card stocks I embossed a kinda dark
blue with white core paper using Sizzix's Snowfall/Speckles folder and I had
a ah ha moment! I was off and running! I LOVE it when this
happens!

I

this

This
technique
requires

or
a
fine

but
don't
file
hard.
How do you like my ah ha card? Isn't this just so cool? The moose and trees are a Sizzix die set called Merry Moose but I have yet to use it for a Christmas card. Maybe this will become one. It's hard to tell but I sponged a bit of Hazelnut Blend ink around the moose's antlers.
The
blue
embossed
snow
was
sanded
to
bring
out
the
white
core.
I
used
Frosted
Lace
Stickles
to
represent
snow
on
the
trees.
I added White Opal Liquid Pearls and 2 different colors of Stickles, Crystal and Frosted Lace, to the ground for snow.
I have to say I love this card!!! I still have a bit of the white core blue paper so I might make another (or 2) next winter. I taught this type of card back in 2010 at the AZ Scrapbooking Store in Green Valley, AZ.
