Another Sanded Embossed Card

I'm slowly using the sanded embossed pieces I showed on my video last week. Today I made a card using the black with blue flowers piece. I even die cut it into an oval which turned out pretty cool.

This is the backside of the black embossed oval.  It did flatten a bit from die cutting but since I sanded the top first it turned out ok.

I also embossed the blue base layer.  For bling I added some itty bitty Stampin Up! snowflakes I received as part of a Christmas gift. I thought they looked a little like flowers.

I colored the flower with my PanPastels.  I heat set the black ink first as the pastels can make the ink smear. I used 3 colors of blue for the flower for some depth.

Did you watch my YouTube or FB video I made last Wednesday, Dec. 30th? Have you made sanded embossed backgrounds?
