My Desk and Terry Bison Ranch Scrapbook Pages

Another Wednesday, another desk. Yep, my desk.  And I've been very busy since last Wednesday! Today's view is part of the weekly tour de blogs of desks put together by Julia of the Stamping Ground.

This picture was taken yesterday afternoon after I completed a Triple Cube Pop Up card. Boy, that's a mouth-full! And it's right before I started prepping for this morning's video showing how to make one! The video will be on my YouTube channel this afternoon.  Anyway...
My sample (sitting on my desk!) will be posted tomorrow with a step by step tutorial but the card I'll be making on my video I'll share with my desk next week. So my desk has ink pads, tape, a scratch sheet where I figured my measurements, a Fiskars trimmer, stamps, other tools, paper, and such. On each side of my work area is stuff that needs to be sorted and put away.

When I received the Aug. Kiwi Lane Scrapbook Kit I knew immediately what pictures I had to use.  And I used all the pictures I had for an outing we took with our daughter back in 2018 when we went to WY to see her, her hubby, then our son and his family.  We even played tourist quite a bit going north to WY and came home through Yellowstone Park!  But I'm getting off topic a bit.

Now, these are not real fancy like the vast majority of pages I see on Pinterest.  I didn't even use any Pinterest pins for inspiration.  I just went with it.  I found a pack of Wyoming stickers by la petites that I think someone gave me that I used.  And I found a free bison image I downloaded, resized, and printed. The SEPT 2018 came from my Scan N Cut. I used a couple sheets of card stock from Fun Stampers Journey but everything else is Kiwi Lane.

I am a Wyoming native by choice.  My family moved there when I was 3 and I love it. I love the open spaces, the huge mountains, the lakes, everything.  I miss it a lot. But when we were there it was the first time we ever went to the Terry Bison Ranch.  We drove by it so many times on I25 and our daughter decided it was time we went. It has a lot of history and more!

I hope you enjoyed my pages. I'm such a novice!

Oooh, that triple pop up card is fun, I had to zoom in for a closer look - it looks complicated to make but is very effective! I think I prefer simpler LOs when it comes to scrapbooking, after all the photo should be the most important factor.!

No such thing as a novice Carol, the great thing about scrapbooking is that you get to do what the pictures and your head tells you. These pictures are just great fun, and you’re right the papers are perfect. I havent been to WY, we spent some time in Idaho in 2017 and the vastness of it was really captivating. So much space! Your triple-box-foldy-Complicated-needs-scratch-paper-to-work-it-out card is just amazing, really fab. Can you tell I’m a bit intimidated by it!

I love open spaces, mountains, forests and lakes too, Carol. There's nothing like being in the midst of God's creation, just drinking in a stunningly beautiful view! It really lifts the spirits. It is awful to be away from the place you love the most! I don't know how a triple popup cube works - it sounds fascinating!

Happy belated WOYWW,
