A Slimline All is Bright

I remember years ago making slimline cards before they were the rage. Well, then a couple weeks ago I got invited to a FB page called Slimline Card Addicts. Oh my gosh for the gorgeous cards I've been seeing.  I'm almost feel out of my league! But here's my first card in years.

I tried to stage my card for a better photo but I didn't have anything that would suit this card.  But it turned out real nice! I used Fun Stampers Journey's new Arctic Wonder clear stamp set and coordinating die set.  Isn't that mountain paper to die for??  I got it from The Paper Collage in Peoria, AZ. It's called Snowflake Flurry as the other side is all snowflakes. I'm not affiliated with this wonderful store but am a very happy customer. Pamela sells this paper and lots more on her website.

I stamped the bears & ingloo on FSJ's Whip Cream card stock and tore a piece of the paper to make the snow field.  I used my blending brushes to add some Lovely Blue and Pool Play inks for some contrast then added some Frosted Lace Stickles.  I stamped all my images and sentiment with Black Licorice ink.

I added some shading to the igloo and bears using my Color Burst pencils. And I layered my card front on a piece of Huckleberry Fusion paper.

Other FSJ/Spellbinders products are Details Pro Shears, Paper Trimmer, Foam Squares, and the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

How do you like this?

After looking through my stash I found the card I made in a class about 6 years ago (shocked that I still had it!).  We made matching envelopes, too.

Isn't this a hoot!
