Double Dutch Door Cacti

Yesterday I made my weekly Wednesday video on my FB page, Stampin Carol - Lots of Crafty Goodness, and uploaded it to my YouTube channel. I decided to make a card I taught at Green Valley Recreation (a local recreation organization) a year ago that is easy yet has a cool look.

I will have the jpeg copy of my class instructions near the bottom of this post.

This is the card closed. I used a retired Fun Stampers Journey stamp set and coordinating die set called Arizona Trail as we live in the desert area of Arizona between Tucson and Nogales. We have a variety of cacti in our yard. I also used some cool new die sets from Spellbinders! The fun print paper is from a 12" x 12"  FSJ paper pack called Spring Filled Prints. This is retired but there's still some available on the website.

Now you can see the double dutch door! How cool is this! And how do you like the new Elegant Twist Ovals die! I added some color to the 3 cacti using my Color Burst Pencils.

And the inside! I added some black enamel dots for embellishments. Isn't this fun!  I made a couple cards a year ago and you can see them HERE and HERE. And I used the new Elegant Twist Circles die set for the sentiment. I layered the twist circle on another circle so it would show up better.

And here's my directions that I made back then that I handed out at my class.

I hope you give this a try. And do a search on Pinterest for this fold as there are MANY great cards!
