Live In the Sunshine

Lately on FaceBook I've seen people wanting posts of beach scenes to give a break from what's going on.  Well, I do have some pictures from LONG ago so I made my own scene on a card.  But rather than a beach scene this is an ocean scene using oodles of different products from different companies and they all worked together wonderfully!

I started this card by stenciling on a piece of white card stock.  My bottom layer I used Fun Stampers Journey's "Splash Zone" stencil, Pool Play ink, and a blending brush (bought on Amazon but made by Picket Fence Studios).  Over the waves I used the Ocean of Fish stencil by Picket Fence Studios and Chambray ink. I really like the look of this!  I tore the top edge for a wave look. I die cut the sun out of 2 colors of card stock using the My Sunshine die set.  The sentiment is from the Make Waves stamp set

I cut the Sea Live Accents die out of Lemon Grass card stock and added some darker green lines using my Color Burst pencils. I added some Splash Zone sequins for embellishments.

I got the dolphin from Art Impressions as a freebie with my last order and colored it with my Color Burst pencils.  After popping it over the waves and sun I added Journey Glaze to give it a wet look. I also added some Crystal Stickles to the top of the waves and to the sea weed to make they glisten in the sun.

I LOVE how this turned out and I have mailed it to the husband of a gal in one of the stamp groups I belong to.  He turned 80 and couldn't celebrate. I am late but at least he can continue to celebrate!
