Forest Smiles

Yesterday I played with an idea for a possible card for my May class. I can't believe it took me a couple hours just to make this one card! But it does remind me of the mountains just east of Yellowstone Park that I used go horseback riding in.

I was inspired by a card on Pinterest but this doesn't really look much like it other than the focal point is in a circle! The deer die is one from my stash that I got years ago by Impression Obsession. The package has 3 deer and it cost me $10.50 as the price tag is still on it!  The trees are from a Spellbinders die set called Deer N Trees. This is a great Christmas die set but I only used the 2 middle sized trees.  At this time this die set is on sale!!!!  The hill is also a die from the Spring Build-A-Scene die set. It coordinates with the Spring Build-A-Scene stamp set.

I love the plaid paper banner.  I got a bunch of great plaids from a Christmas paper pack I purchased right after Christmas for a real bargain!  It is only 1 sided.  The sentiment comes from a Simon Says Stamp! set called Handlettered Encouragement #SSS101705.  As you can tell I used quite a few different card stocks, all from Fun Stampers Journey.

I was trying to come up with something for my May class but I really don't think this card will do.  I will keep trying and Pinterest will get quite a work out from me!  Do you use it for inspiration?
