It's Wednesday? Really?

I am so discombobulated that sometimes I'm not sure what day it is. Are you having that problem?  But I am crossing days off my big desk calendar which helps. So, Wednesday.... Desk Day! Yep! I join up with Julia at the Stamping Ground and many others to show you what shape my desk is in.  This photo was taken yesterday afternoon. (BTW my post is a bit long.)

I was in the process of starting the card kits for my April 24 video class.  You can just see the sample card on the far left in front of the little paper trimmer.  A die set I used is still sitting on the table but I was done with it.  My stamp set is on my glass mat and I was busy stamping little flowers in my stamp positioner. There is my ink pad on the far right of my glass mat and the lid is just behind the positioner.  I'm making 10 of each card (4 cards in the class) and want to have these mailed by the 17th.

And I do have a project to share.  Last week our youngest son informed us they had to put their beloved dog of 15 years to sleep.  We all knew this day was coming so I got busy and made a special card for them.

After taking my pictures I added a natural twine bow to the top of the bone paper clip.  That changed to look a bit and I like it much better!

 I black embossed the sentiment.

And I found this little sentiment on line but changed it to say we and the dog's name in the appropriate place.

Did you see the moon last night!!!  WOW!

I took this photo with my little Canon Point & Shoot camera.  I was surprised how clear it turned out.

I have had a busy week so far.  Monday I got all my mending completed!  Lots of buttons sewn on shirts, hems and seams fixed, and zippers reattached. Even went for parts for hubby, went to the bank, and purchased some groceries.  Then yesterday, laundry.  I even got some fabric quarters washed to make some face masks. I found a nice pattern on Pinterest that has an opening for a filter.  I've been told that coffee filters work good for filtering the air.

Now you've reached the end of my post and I hope you head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other brave deskers linking their desks!

What a lovely sympathy card for your son and his family, so apt and the verse is perfect Carol. I am taking part in a video class at the moment as we can't attend in person. It is such fun and I am spreading out the projects. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

Hi Carol. Trust you get all your preparations done, posted out, and then the class up and going in time. Sounds like you are really busy. Making your own facemasks... goodness. Your sympathy card is good. Well done.

That's a very special card there Carol, my sympathy goes out to your family. It's been just over a year since we had to say goodbye to our beloved Bonita but never a day goes by that we do not remember her with oh so fond memories.
Take good care of yourselves & keep safe this Easter. Hugs Tracey #24 x

I shouldn't worry Carol you're not the only one that forgets what day it is. It's starting to feel a bit like Ground Dog Day. Bet your son appreciated the card. Maybe when things get back to normal they could get a new puppy which would be something to look forward to. Wishing you a happy woyww and lots of crafty thoughts to keep you busy, Angela x15x

the only reason I know which day it is, is working from home full pelt ! they fly by... the weekends less so but if we get through this, it is a small price to pay. I try to convince myself!! take care and stay safe.. Helen #1

I know how heart breaking it is to lose ones pet, it is like losing a member of your family. They soon become a big part of your life and more so in that they give unconditional love. That is a lovely card you made for them.
Lovely photo of the moon, captured so well with your camera.
Good luck with the video class.
Hugs, Neet xx

Sorry aim late, the weather has been so good that I had to get my gardening self out of hibernation. Ugh. I’ve said before that I think you’re brave to do the online classes, how are they going? Are you mailing out kits as part of the cost or do you charge extra for that? it’s a bit of an untried to me, I’m fascinated by the logistics. Our banks are closed - in fact mostly everything is and we arent meant to drive unless for groceries only, lord knows how long this will last. So sorry about the dog, that’s a sweet card to help them through a horrid time.theres a lot of debate here about the use of masks, I believe our government doesn’t want general public using them because it might imply they are safer than they really are and it’ll blur the edges of the lockdown. I don’t know what to believe; my friend in ER in CA says that unless you can protect your eyes too, a mask doesn’t help. Another Dr told us that a mask is only good if you have the virus because it stops you breathing it onto others, but won’t protect you much if that’s what you’re looking for. Too much confusion. Try everything, I think!

I am so sorry to hear about your son's dog, Carol, and I am sure that your beautiful card will comfort him a lot. It's so devastating, losing a pet. We've lost so many kitties over the years and each one has been so hard.

Your photo of the moon is beautiful.

Stay safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,
