Frankie is Twisted

Yesterday I made my Wednesday FB Live video (now on YouTube dated Oct 2) and I showed a new to me card fold called Twisted Gatefold.  I learned it at our monthly SALSA group (a Tucson stamp club) last Saturday.  I think I heard that the lady who demo'ed it seen it on SplitCoastStampers but I haven't been on there for quite some time.  Anyway, it's a really cool card!

Isn't this wild?? I used a new die set called Let's Be Frank.  I only purchased it for Frankie!

Here it is open.  Definitely a different look!

I made Frankie using 3 different FSJ purples but with the outer oval I ended up using all 4!

I die cut the Boo! from a small die set but double layered it for a bit more pop. And some Black Licorice Silk was splattered on the insert layer.  The Happy Halloween sentiment came from the new Hey Boo stamp set.

Here's my template.  I traced my work piece I got at club.  I'm going to have to head over to SplitCoastStampers and check out what others did.  I may have to teach this at my class!  Maybe for my November class.... or January.

Give this a try!  But try it first with a practice piece and be sure you cut your base layer to 8 1/4"!
