There's an Angle

Yesterday I played with a different style gatefold card as it has angled cuts. Sounds weird, I know, but it's pretty cool!

I have used my Tulla & Norbert stamp bundle a lot! It is so versatile! This style of card can be held closed a few different ways. I used 1/2 of a velcro dot but I've seen belly bands and a latch style used (see my YouTube video dated yesterday).

Here is my template. The base isn't hard, just watch your measurements and cutting.

Here's how your base should look folded. I traced the front flaps on my print papers then trimmed them to the size I wanted before adhering to the flaps. I show this on my video.

This is my card open. The inside panel is the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" so I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and stamped my sentiment low enough to make sure it didn't show when the card was closed.

I added some sparkly gems to the front panels for bling.

I kept my velcro dot together and adhered the fuzzy side to my top card flap, then closed and the hook velcro then adhered where it was to be.  I also made sure my foam tape wasn't on the part of the label that hung over the front yellow panel when closed. Clear as mud??

If you have made one of these please leave a comment.
