Cacti Birthday

I recently received this fun "Cute Cacti" stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. It has fun faces you can use on the cacti but I didn't use those yet.

I did have a little trouble stamping the cacti as they seemed to not be very deep etched and I was getting lots of ink on the stamp where it shouldn't be. I did some "surgery" on 5 stamps and all are now stamping great. I'm hoping this was just a flaw with my set.

I also used their Peekaboo Window 3 die set (I now have 3 or 4 of their Peekaboo dies) and a fun print paper that I found in my stash. There are so many wonderful samples on this stamp set's page at Whimsy.

I used my Color Burst Pencils to color and I kinda used a coloring technique I was taught using Copic markers. Not bad in my opinion. A few enamel dots for fun and I'm ready for the next birthday! (An we have lots from April through June!)

Have you trimmed or cut apart your stamps?

Stampin Carol

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we have been comforted by God.         II Corinthians 1:3&4
