An Oval Stitched Birthday

This is my 2nd card for Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club for using this month's die set that you can stitch (or not as in my case). It's called Oval Stitch & Border and I love it! I went with lots of color for this card.

I used a bunch of new products to make this card and a couple from last year that I love! The background embossing was made with their Loops embossing folder. This is a BIG folder at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"!! Perfect for almost any size card! I used their new Be Bold Blooms die set for the flowers.  I find sitting and die cutting small items like this very calming.

Here's a closer look at some of the flowers.  I added an extra layer to the pinkish flowers as I kinda spaced what color my card front was and my pinkish flowers blended in. A 4th layer is a good fix to make them pop more. My Bearly Art Glue got quite a workout making the bird and flowers!

I have embroidery floss but I couldn't find it so I used a colored pencils to make my stitches.  I'll have to do a more thorough search for my flosses.  I added some Spectrum AB gems all over the card.

I also used Sweet Birds on a Branch and Tweet Sentiments. I've used these a lot since they came out last year as part of the Birdhouses Through the Seasons collection by Vicky Papaioannou.

I decided to share this today as it's my birthday! And I bet whoever I send this card to will absolutely love it!

Stampin Carol

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.  Ephesians 3:20-21
