Silent Night

Recently I purchased a gorgeous die cut by Creative Expressions through Scrapbook.com. It's called Bethlehem Edger and it is beautiful.

I made this using black and white card stocks to see how the silhouette of the die would look against a shiny sky/stars paper from my stock.

Trying to photo the sky paper was very difficult due to reflection and glare but this is pretty good.  I think the black silhouette is more dramatic and it's my favorite.

I angled my card so the glare wouldn't be so bad but you can see the rainbow of colors in the background.

I may have to find a darker background for white to work. I added 3 gems to each card for fun.

I did have to barely shim the die when cutting as some of the really tiny cuts didn't cut all the way through.  I just took a piece of copy paper and folded it into quarters and used that. It worked well. My Tool 'n One was a great asset in getting those tiny pieces removed. I also used my Bearly Art Glue on the small areas as the fine tip was great to get a dot of glue where needed.

So, which card is your favorite?
