A Floating Gatefold

I learned a new-to-me fold recently called a Floating Gatefold. As I was figuring it out I knew I had to use Photo Play's Tulla & Norbert Collection stamp set! When I purchased this fun set I didn't realize there was a matching die set so it is now on my Wish list with Scrapbook.com.

Yesterday I made a FaceBook Live video on how to make this card and it is now uploaded to my YouTube channel. Click on the link in the sidebar and look for yesterday's video.  And the card I made in the video will be shared next Tuesday with links to products that you can purchase through my affiliate links.

From this view my card looks like a standard gatefold card. I used Spellbinders Sweet Home Accents die set grass die and their Garden Fence die set. I popped the bee and big gnome to make them stand out a bit.

It seems my light to take my photos has washed out the great clouds I made with a stencil! I used a variety of stamps and dies in my collection to get the look I wanted. And I colored all my images with PrismaColor pencils.

Here's where the card really gets fun! The 2 squares pop up when you open the card! Yet it folds flat and fits in an A2 envelope with no problems!

A view from the bottom shows the strips I used to make my 2 images pop up. I didn't use any foam to raise my images inside to make sure my card folded flat. I had to use my large Stamp Buddy Pro stamp positioner to stamp my sentiment inside the card as the card had to be finished to know where to place the sentiment!

So if you want to learn this card please check out my video.  It's way easier than you think!
