A Book Folded Squash Card

Recently a friend asked me to make a video making a card we learned at our monthly stamp club last month. We were told it was a Book Bind Pop Up. It has a squash card interior.

The directions we were given uses a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of card stock for the base but I used a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" instead and altered the size of the squash fold inside to a 4" square instead of 6".

I decided to use the gorgeous Desert Scene die set by Impression Obsession. The Happy Birthday title is from Spellbinders May 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month, Borders & Sentiments. I added the gold dots to embellish. My Bearly Art Glue was perfect for adhering the cacti arms! (My colors really got washed out in this picture!)

Here's how the card looks as I start to open it. You can see the way the inside folds.

I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted inside so I opted for Spellbinders June 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month, Circle of Sunshine, and a phrase from their Mini Greetings stamp set.
