My Desk... Really?

'Twas a week before Christmas and all through my room,
I was finishing my cards and none too soon,
The sentiment stamps were ready to use,
And inks were out but I wasn't amused.
Hubby was sitting, watching TV
without a clue, I'm rhyming, you see!

Anyway, I came up with this little ditty as I tried to finish my Christmas cards. Seems I make them ass card fronts so I need to put them on folded base and stamp the insides!

So you can see I'm working on them and my desk with all this frantic stamping is brought to you as part of a weekly get together with other deskers through Julia at the Stamping Ground!

So, far left, my stamp positioner with a stamp ready for use.  Under its right side are 1/2 sheets of card stock ready to fold, adhere, and stamp.  Center is 1 just folded and I'm giving it a crisp fold. On the right side of my glass mat is a pile of cards to finish.  Between them and my Platinum is a little wooden basket to hold my cards. Toward the back between my mat and inks is a box of envelopes, inks, a CD of stamps, and a lot of odds and ends.

I need to get a bunch of cards in the mail today and make a video. At least all my gifts are mailed!

If I don't see you next week I hope you have a very MERRY and blessed Christmas!

Nice one Carol, very amusing. Good to see you have found time to play, how dare Christmas get in the way of our creativity. I'm hoping all my cards are now posted, I tried to get them done a lot earlier this year. Good luck with yours.

Hi Carol. Great little verse! Sounds like you will; be working to the wire this year, though... I do hope you will get to have a relaxing time when Christmas arrives.
Take care. God bless. Have a truly beautiful Christmas.

I was surprised to see your rhyme,
Are you like me and do it all the time?
My Christmas crafting has been put away
My desk looks far too tidy today,
But the urge to craft is getting stronger
I fear I can tarry no longer.
So off I go, I bid you adieu
And wish a merry Christmas to you

Thank you for your comment, I read yours and my poem out to my husband too 🤣. The horse mat is glass and my daughter bought it for me in Australia when she was holiday. I don’t like the thought of it getting spoiled in the kitchen so I keep it on my craft desk. I did have fun composing the poem, merry Christmas x. Angela #21

Haha Carol, nice verse! I see you have inspired several others to break out into poetry too! My hubby often does it, making up tuneless little songs that he sings "at" the kitties (not "to" them, please note! - they flatten their little ears...) and I call it catterel which is his version of doggerel. You've got quite a production line going there, on your desk. You sound very organised.

Thank you for your visit - so glad you like the Tudor gown! The dinner was such fun. I've got some more photos which the friend we spent the day with sent me today and I'll post those next week - some lovely ones with my hubby.

Have a happy Christmas.
Happy belated WOYWW,
