A Twisted Palm

Happy Christmas Eve!

At our SALSA group last month (a local stamping group in Tucson, AZ) we watched a gal demo a fun Twisted Easel card.  I have made and taught this style of card so this was relatively easy for me.

I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go but ended up making kinda a Christmas card until you open it.

I used a clear stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey called Deck The Palms.  I used some Brilliance Dew Drop inks as I don't like the way FSJ's fusion inks work with clear stamps. I can't seem to get a good clean image. Oh well.  I had to make a coordinating envelope, too, so I stamped the palm tree on the envelope.

Here the card is open as twisted.  Quite a different look....

Here is the card open. I added some fun little heart embellishments for fun.  The sentiment is from FSJ's Everyday Script stamp set.  It even has a coordinating die set but I didn't use it.

I got a little off on the tree stamping but the other stamping turned out pretty good.

I think this turned out pretty good!  We're meeting this Saturday and having an After Christmas Happy New Year party!  I have one more swap to finish, the mystery item swap.  I have a couple ideas for the macaroni we were given.  Hmmmm.....

Anyway, tomorrow is Christmas day and I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful BLESSED day!
