A Color Challenge

Recently a color challenge was posted on a private group I'm on over on FaceBook.  We had to use 4 FSJ colors, Cool Pool, Blue Lagoon,  Limeade Splash, and Rich Coral.  It took me 2, yes 2, tries to get a card I was happy with.

I used all FSJ/Spellbinder products except for my foam tape which I got from Amazon and my ATG adhesive gun and tape.  But I do have links for similar products linked below along with all other products used from FSJ and Spellbinders.

I'll start with the so so card. I think I did overload on the snowflakes.

I used the November Small Die of the Month, Kaleidoscope Snowflakes. I actually made a bunch of the layered snowflakes using the colors of the challenge but I didn't like those at all.

I used my Clear Wink of Stella pen on the sentiment (from the Sparkle Trim stamp set) and die cut my snowflakes from the gorgeous white sparkle paper of the Sparkle Trio Specialty Paper.

I added some Pearls as something seemed to be missing but I will probably remove them.  They just don't look right.

Are you ready for the card I DO like?

I like the simplicity of this card but I used 4 different embossing folders to add texture. I added a couple of Silks to the die cut oval before adhering the tree and stamped the sentiment from the Whimsy Trees stamp set.

Isn't this cool!  I really like this little tree die set and have even used it in my Christmas in July card class this year.

So which one is your favorite?
