Cacti Framed

A while back I watched a bunch of Spellbinders YouTube videos and seen one by Becca Feeken using her Adjustable Shadowbox Frame.  I bought all 3 sizes and started with the 1" frame as I thought the biggest would be the easiest for the first time.  I started and stopped the video as I worked my way through it.

I shared this photo on Instagram and FB showing my start.  You have to be fairly precise when assembling the frame.  This frame required a lot of scoring and FSJ's Score Board worked wonderfully!

Are you ready for my finished frame?

I love how this turned out!  I sprayed the frame with Lovely Blue Pearl Color Splash.  This gorgeous spray will be available June 22 with FSJ's Hello Summer Collection launch.  It gave the frame a fabulous shimmer!

I also used the My Sunshine Die set and 2 colors of yellow card stock for the sun and Cloud Dreams die set using Pearled Basics card stock.

The cool cacti pots and tall cacti came from Hobby Lobby.  They're part of The Paper Studio collection and were on sale for 1/2 price.  The pots were glued to the packaging so I had a hard time getting them off without damage.  I used Journey Glue to adhere them to the frame as large glue dots were not strong enough to keep them in place.

I stamped the sentiment from the Arizona Trail stamp set and sprayed it with a bit of the Lovely Blue Pearl Splash. A few Blue Skies sequins (and I may add more as I have an even number) and I'm done!

I think this will make a great gift for Christmas (on my, the C word!) or birthday.  What do you think?
