A Shaking Merry Christmas

I had to hustle this past week to get this card made.  It's the 4th card sample I needed for TODAY as it is part of my Christmas in July class.  I needed it today as I like to show the next month's class cards. And this card will be the hardest my "gals" have done in any of my monthly classes.

Again I used the fun Die D-Lites set Christmas Tree.  I do have a number of other die set in this line such as Snowman, Snowflakes, and Santa.

I used quite a few pieces from assorted other die sets such as the hill inside the shaker is from the Spring Build-A-Scene die set and the sentiment and banner die cut are from the Winter Build-A-Scene stamp set and coordinating die set.  I used 3 different jars of sequins for a variety but used only Special Celebration Sequins on the tree.  Now, instead of FSJ's great foam squares I used my 1/2" wide 3M Scotch Foam Tape to raise the card front up and make the box for the sequins.  I painted some Sparkle Silk on the Star to make it glisten, you know, tree tops glistening... Yeah, I may have to watch White Christmas soon!

This card was fun to make but I have to admit my first attempt I forgot the clear sheet to cover the square opening!  I now have a cut out front with foam tape ready to make a shadow box.  Oh well.
