JOY

I have my Christmas in July class near the end of the month and you've seen a couple cards we'll be making. This is the 3rd one.

The gorgeous snowflakes are from a die by Sizzix called Snowflake Edge which is no longer available. I found a cool die by Elizabeth Craft Designs called "Snowflake Border" that could be used but it's not quite as detailed. The JOY is also from a retired set in my stash but I found Lawn Fawn's "Henry's ABCs"  or Altenew's "Caps Bold Alphabet" dies as reasonable substitutes.

Don't you love the blue sparkly foam I used for my JOY? It's Spellbinders' new "Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets - Peacock Feathers" package! This stuff is SOOOO cool! You don't need foam pop dots as it's plenty thick! I sprayed my snowflakes with a product called Sheer Shimmer Sparkle. It's subtle but looks great. The blue dots are True Blue Stickles. You've seen the great snowflake paper before. I've used it frequently and I got it from The Paper Collage in the Phoenix, AZ area. Pam, the owner (and a wonderfully sweet lady!) designed it. It's called "Snowflake Flurry" and you can purchase it online through her store.

I think if I had Spellbinders White glitter foam sheets I would have used them instead of the blue. What do you think? Which would you have used?
