Flamazing!

 I finally made a video yesterday and I showed how to make a Double Diamond card. This fun fold is one we were taught at our last stampers club meeting but I have made quite a few over the years. I decided to use The Rabbit Hole Design's fun Caffeinated Flamingo stamp set and coordinating die set.

The hardest part of this card, to me, is getting it to fold properly.  And this card fits just fine in an A2 card provided you don't have the center focal piece too high.

My base is 4" x 10 5/8".  The following template shows the score lines.

I cut a 2 5/8" square to mount my center focal piece. 

My video shows the folds better but here is a picture that may help a bit.


It's the angled scores you have to play with to get them right. Once you get them the card base almost folds itself! I didn't add print papers to the back of my card as I was running low of my flamingo paper since I cut 3 squares at an angle for the center and ends. The paper

 


This picture is kinda looking down on the card. You can write your personal sentiment on the 2 back squares.


Here's a closer look at my flamingo. I resemble it in the mornings as I start on my first cup of coffee.
