Pink, as in Flamingo

I am so looking forward to the Fabulous Flocking Flamingo Extravaganza in February (yeah, say that fast 3 times...). This is a scrapbooking crop in Mesa, AZ and I'm going with another Carol.  We're known as Carol Squared or Carol Ditto. There's a bunch of other gals from the Tucson area going so I try to make little goodies to give to them. I recently purchased a fun die set from Sizzix to decorate little pink tubs I got at a big box craft store.

I purchased this die set before I became an affiliate with Scrapbook.com and I wished I would have waited. They have so much more cool flamingo stuff and Sizzix keeps dropping my affiliate link.  I have dropped my affiliation with Sizzix.

First I thought to just make the Flamingo and adhere it to the tub. I

Then I thought.... this won't hold up. I better come up with something else.

I think the flamingo on a die cut rectangle splattered with Fun Stampers Journey's Bubble Gum Silk. I just laid this one in the tub for the photo. I think this will be much better.

Here's a closer look at the little guy. Not a lot of layers but a bunch of itty bitty pieces! Thank goodness for a glue pen!
