Hats Off To You

Graduation will be upon us soon and Spellbinders has released some great new products in their new Celebrate You collection to help you make that "perfect" card for that special person. I used their "Hats Off To You" die set and "Let's Celebrate Sentiments" clear stamp set.

Back on March 9 I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel on how to make a Slide & Lock gate fold card plus a post on March 10 of more pictures of the card I made on the video. A friend gave me the idea of making more of that fun fold card using a couple products from the new collection.

I had a hint bigger gap between the fronts as I used a 110 lb. black card stock instead of a 85 lb. That does make a difference!

Here's a closer look at the mortar board. I love the tassel! Thank goodness for a quilling tool as it really helped me roll the fringe! I added some fun sparkly gems for bling. And I choose a print paper that was bright and cheery=".

Inside the card I added a white layer and the sentiment. This red hat was my school colors, red & white. I still have my tassel but it has faded to pale pink but then, it's been MANY years!

Have you checked out Spellbinders and all the new collections? I have much more to share! Stay tuned!
