Unplug

Yesterday I made my Wednesday Weekly video on my FaceBook page, Stampin Carol - Lots of Crafty Goodness. I seen this card made by a gal in our Tucson stamping group and had to give it a try.  I'll probably use this card for a swap at the monthly meeting the 27th.

This is an altered Gatefold card. The top flap slides behind the focal piece and "locks" the card closed. No need for a belly band! I used a cool paper pack by Photo Play called "Squeeze in Some Fun."

Here you can see how the card is assembled. I started with a basic gatefold then added 2 pieces cut from a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece then adhered to the top right and bottom left of the card.

I popped the bottom half of the focal piece to the center of the bottom flap (on my video I didn't pop the focal piece). This way the top flap slides behind it to keep the card closed.  I do have a video on YouTube showing the making of this card, just click the link in the side bar and look for yesterday's video.

I used one of the card stock ephemera for the focal piece and added some retired Fun Stampers Journey Rainbow Hearts for bling.

Are you ready for some summer?
