Back to My Workdesk

I'm back home from the retreat!  Oh my gosh but was it fun! Our desks were well spaced and all wore masks except when sitting at our desks. I got so much accomplished and bought so much fun stuff for upcoming classes and for myself.  But today I'm back to joining in with Julia of the Stamping Ground and the gals who are brave enough to show what their desks look like. This is week 610.

My desk is well after I unloaded Sunday and put stuff away Monday after I got home from work. Also on Monday I finished embellishing the cards I made (over 20) that needed it. Then Monday evening I took pictures of my projects for my posts.

I purchased some Echo Park paper from one of the vendors at the retreat and made these 2 cards. I only liked about 1/2 the paper but used a piece I didn't like as the base of the slimline card.

I used the stickers that came in the pack to make the focal points. I like the paper I used in the circle in the top closeup.

I also purchased a desk item that holds my glue upside down.  It was made using a 3D printer.

Isn't this a hoot!! I love it! It could have been just a bit deeper for my glue.

I hope you head over to the Stamping Ground. And, if you're so inclined, please leave me a comment.

My hubby's just got himself a 3-D printer and I could do with something like your cactus for my liquid glue. Thanks for the idea!

Ha! I totally need one of those glue holders! My glue has a point top on the tip end and a flat top on the flat end - makes sense, but I wished they were reversed. Makes more sense to have the pointy top fill of glue. Ah well. Retreats? What are those? I've almost forgotten, but not QUITE. Miss them. Cute cards, too!

Happy WOYWW!

What a clever cactus?! It looks like it should do something at the bottom where the gap is - is that for something else? So glad you had fun at your retreat, not jealous at all... much! Hugs definitely in order today, Lisa-Jane #10

Carol, so glad you made it back safe and sound from your retreat...and...had a great time! I bet it was fun. I've always wanted to do a crafty retreat. Maybe one day? I love BOTH of your cards. Too cute....who doesn't love coffee...and friends! LOL What a clever cactus tool! It's cute, but just the something I'd knock over into a million pieces! I'm a huge klutz! Stay safe and healthy and blessings to you! Felicia #30

Oh for the chance to go to a retreat. So glad you got away and enjoyed it! It’s inspirationally invigorating! I cry nearly bought that Echo Park pad too, but like you, found there was more designs that I didn’t want, although coffee is such a great subject for papers and stickers, but I would have preferred a brighter palette. The glue holder is genius..I will uncover the thing I use so that it shows in my desk photos next week. It’s not a glamorous cactus, I can tell you!

Very envious that you could go on a retreat - but glad you had a good time!
I NEED one of those upside down glue pots! Actually I tend to use recycled tubes of various sizes!
Happy WOYWW!
Stay safe and keep well!
Update on here in Victoria – we are in a snap lockdown again – hopefully only for a few days – but 5k limit, no visitors or gatherings, only leave the house for the 4 special reasons, only essential shops open…
