My Desk and a Pink Cowboy

Ah.... Wednesday. That day halfway through the week but also the day I and a great group of gals share pictures of our desks by way of Julia of the Stamping Ground.

This is yesterday afternoon, not much is happening.  I have my flamingo scotch tape dispenser on my desk as I needed to tape an envelope closed. Plus there is some thin bubble wrap that I cut to cushion the 2 cards in the envelope.

Our oldest grand daughter's birthday is coming up soon and I needed a special card for her.  Her and her family are cowboys. They take part in Ranch Rodeos and more.

I had some great paper from The Paper Collage in Peoria, AZ (a suburb of Phoenix) that Pamela (owner) designed.  This is a store that you really need to visit if you're in the Phoenix area!

The die cut was made from a die I believe a friend got from Wish.  Personally I will not purchase from that company but when my friend offered this to me I purchased it.  The pink/black paper and the denim print of the die cut I got from Pamela.

Our granddaughter is very proficient with a lasso so I had to add my version to the card. I made the hondo (loop) by tying a knot then trimming off the excess.  It's kinda correct.

I've had this stamp for YEARS!  It used to be wood mounted but that changed about 20 years ago so I have NO idea where I got it.  I've used it a lot.

I've also made an anniversary card for her and her hubby.

Yesterday I went in for a routine dental cleaning and ended up getting a temporary crown with the permanent being put on today.  One of my molars was cracked in half but it didn't show up in the Xrays! The dentist was surprised the tooth was still intact.  Ugh.

But please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other deskers!

Bad luck Aron, tooth issues are so expensive! still at least you haven’t had to wait or suffered any in a broken tooth. Would that I was going to be in Arizona any time soon, I would visit Peoria in a heartbeat! It’s a clever card indeed, like the denim card you’ve used, a great way to work in the essential denim! Another day not wasted; I had no idea that it was called a Hondo on the lasso!

Well, howdy pardner! It's not often we see a lasso on the desks - I love the fact that your GD is so good at it. And I'm secretly envious of your flamingo tape dispenser :-)

That's a great card. It's always easier if the person you're making them for has a hobby, gives you a starting point to work with. No crafting has taken place where I am I'm pleased to say. Sending you lots of crafty woyww wishes, Angela x3x

What a great card for your granddaughter Carol and a fabulous sentiment for the inside. I won't buy from Wish either. Hope the crown is permanently in place soon. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2
