Give Thanks

Well, Thanksgiving is in 2 days!!! I hope that if you're traveling you have a safe trip. We're traveling and so looking forward to seeing a couple of our kids and their families.

Today's card uses a great Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders from June! It's called Festive Wreaths Slider Card and has 21 dies to make many different.

Look at all those pieces! I see Easter, winter, birthday, and so much more!

I am thankful Spellbinders has a video as to putting this together. Once I got the basics I was off and running (well, creating) this card.

Here it is closed. It doesn't open like a standard card but...

You pull the Golden Tansy Twine at the top (or back) and the cover slides to reveal the sentiment! You can sign your greeting on the back (or top) of the slider so that it, too, is revealed when one pulls the string.

The wreath is only attached on the bottom half. I used a lot of little fall color scraps to die cut the leaves and acorns. You can't see it on the close up but I added some Gold Wink of Stella to the tops of the acorns.

I love how this turned out but have to admit, it took a couple of hours to make! And for all the little leaves I didn't use a lot of scraps!
