Workdesk Wednesday and Candy Hearts

It's a beautiful Wednesday here in southern Arizona with temps in the 70s.  My heart goes out to those in the north and northeast of our nation with the extreme cold but I have lived many years in Wyoming and know exactly what that cold is like!  But I took advantage of some time yesterday to work on some goodies for our family for Valentine's Day and decided to take a photo of my desk of my busyness....    Today many of us crafters enjoy showing off our desks and take part in an international blog tour to give you some inspiration and sometimes, giggles.  This tour has been organized by Julia over at the Stamping Ground.  After looking around my post please click on her blog link at the end of my post and head over to her place and take a look around.

This picture was taken earlier in the throes of work.  I didn't even look at the clock and realized afterward that I spent about 3 hours getting this done.  I've got some major straightening up to do before I start another project.  Let's see, left to right..... Bow Easy package, glue dots, Kisses, almost completed projects, more glue dots, Bow Ease (didn't end up using it), twine, scissors, bone folder, and misc.  My Scor-Pal with mat is what I actually work on so it's right in the middle.  Now, do you want to see what I made?

This is toward the beginning.  I got my directions from a blog on Pinterest and I'll give you the link shortly.

I'm quite a ways through my work at this point.

Ta Da!!!  Seven little hearts holding Kisses!  I think it took as long to embellish as it did to cut, score, and assemble!

Here's a closer look.  This kisses have a tendency to move a bit even though they're stuffed in the heart.  I learned how to make these from QBee's Quest.  I'll be sending these to our kids and their families.  They'll fit nicely in a bubble envelope along with their Valentine Cards.  I still have to package them in cellophane but that won't take long.  Still need to make a bunch more cards as I need to send some to friends and family who sent Christmas cards and I was out!

So now, if you'd be so kind to leave a comment about my desk or project please pop over to the Stamping Ground and have a look see!  Be sure you have a bit of time and maybe your favorite coffee or tea as you can spend a lot of time!  I'll be eating the left over Kisses.....  Yum!

You asked if I will be doing any calligraphy - I don't think so. We'll see what I actually come up with!

Your candy boxes turned out great. What a cute idea. I understand about cleaning up before starting a new project. It took me an evening to clean up after Christmas Card making. LOL I am a messy crafter.
