My First WOYWW (this year) and I'm Thinking of You

Well, Christmas is over and today is New Year's Day.  Seems this holiday season came so fast and left just about as quickly!  I've had very little oomph to make anything but really need to get it in gear!  I have to repack my crate for a class on the 8th and get some ideas and samples made within the next 10 days for my February class at the store.  But instead of thinking of those things right now I decided to get back into WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday).  This fun blog tour of workdesks all around the world is brought to you from Julia at the Stamping Ground..  After looking around my post please click on the link at the end of my post and head on over to her place and see more!  I love looking and getting lots of inspiration.

So, what's on my desk....  From left to right: Stamps - 2 sets used on the card, tape, Scor-Pal with mat and scrap paper, card, black rhinestones, acrylic blocks, scissors, ink, bone folder, pencil, sanding block, and bits and pieces.

And here is the card.  I like the clean lines and simplicity.  Floral image by Inkadinkado and text by The Angel Company.

I got just a hint off level on the text and I realize my camera lens is scratched as there is now a line showing up in my photos.  I have cleaned the lens but it's still there, right above the text.  The lens looks clean but still have that line. (I wonder if something could be inside the camera causing this....)   I scored on each side of the colored image with my Scor-Pal for a bit more definition and added the twine from The Twinery for fun along with the rhinestones.

So please click HERE (after leaving a comment if you will) and enjoy all the great ideas and desks.

Happy New year, Carol. Great shot of your desk and I love your card - the stamps you've used are perfect for the inky panel and the twine makes a fab embellishment. Have a great week and a wonderful 2014. Hugs, Elizabeth x #79
