These 2 cards were submitted for our design call but didn't get accepted. I like these better than
the one that was accepted!

The
Heiroglyph Horse was done using the crinkled paper stamping technique. I crumpled up a piece of scrap cardstock and then flattened it out some. I inked the stamp, stamped it on the crumpled paper, then stamped it on my designated piece of cardstock. I love the 2-toned look! The verse is from the
Be Still set. I used
Hemingway SWIC and matching
cardstock and
ribbon and
Cognac Palette Hybrid ink. The slots were made with our "retired" slot punch set.

This card uses the
Amelia SWIC paper and matching
cardstock and the
Ornamental Snowflakes set. I also used my
Coluzzle Nested Circle template and
Icicle Stickles for embellishing. I stamped the snowflakes with
Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid ink and sponged the ink on the edges of the large stamped piece. The small snowflake is layered on the same color paper as the circle and raised up with
Pop Dots. As you can see I dotted the circle with the Stickles and highlighted points in the snowflakes. I love how this just jumps out at you in real life.
Well, I got my catalogs in and my Brilliant Beginnings Bundle so need to organize. I have all my new stamp sets indexed and mounted, in their CD cases and put away (trying to be organized!). Now I can start creating! My air conditioner kicked in at 7 this morning and it's already hot and cloudy. We are in the "monsoon" season and the humidity is coming up a bit. Good day to play!
Happy stamping!

Absolutely love the cards, especially the amelia one. I think it should've made it!
