A Canyon Lands Happy Birthday

Tuesday after chemo I made this card as I have had this great die set by Hero Arts for a couple months, Canyon Lands, and haven't used it! It reminds me of Monument Valley in southeast Utah and we have spent time there a few years ago.

I chose neutral and southwest colors for my layers and I found a small scrap of starry sky. I added a few dots of Crystal Stickles to some of the stars and some Terracotta Pops of Color as "bling" to the card from. I added a frame around the die cut image to make it pop.

Isn't this cool! I couldn't get the grass to cut really good so may need to shim that particular die a bit next time. I used some Mint tape around the tree so that I could add some fall colors without getting the colors where I didn't want them then used mint tape over the tree branches so I could add some more brown around the image.

I know of people who cannot make masculine cards but I find them relatively easy. Do you?
