Be A Cactus

I had a few scraps of beautiful designer paper from our March stamp club's birthday party make & takes and used almost all of it in the making of this fun cacti card.

My photo doesn't do a good job showing the depth of the colors in the paper. I think it's by Stampin Up! The original cards I made using these is Here. I made this same style using some other prints on May 10 & 11 this year. My little cactus and sentiment are by Whimsy Stamps called "Cute Cacti". I colored with my PrismaColor pencils.

You can see the depth of the color a bit better with this close up. I used a couple old oval die sets and made a banner for my sentiment. I added some purple enamel dots from my stash.

I've sure enjoyed playing with this Shuffle & Stack technique for backgrounds. Have you tried it?
