A Rainy Hello

 No, it's not raining here though we get excited when it does as southern AZ is very dry. But this card celebrates the rain and we are looking forward to it.

I haven't made a shutter card in ages and this is only my 2nd one ever. But after seeing some cute ones on Pinterest I got started. 


This is the card closed with its belly band. It's a gate fold and the shutter is inside. 


Here's the inside. You can see the shutter inside the circle cut out. So when the card closes the shutter closes. Just like an old 35mm camera! (And I still have my old Canon!) 


Here's a closer look at the belly band. I paper pieced the umbrella and handle. Isn't this cool! The rain paper is from an old pack from Fun Stampers Journey which is still available!

I will have to try this style again some day. Have you made this style?
