Thankful Tweet

This is the 3rd of 4 cards we'll be making at my October 22nd class. I used mostly Spellbinder products.

I started with a slimline card base and built my "scene" upon it.

The cool sky background is a great paper purchased from The Paper Collage in the greater Phoenix area. Pam, the owner, designed it and it is called Cloudy Days. It has this "bold" sky on one side and a more muted sky on the other. She is very talented and such a sweet lady! If you're in the western part of the city, give her store a visit!

After most of this card was made I got a fabulous grass die set by Rubbernecker Stamps which will be a great asset as my current grass die sets will only cut a determined size. This new die set will allow me to make my grass whatever height I need. If you look close at my card you will see that the grass is only about 3/8" and I had to add another piece to get the 2" I wanted.

I added a dot to the cardinal's eye using my black gel pen. Usually when I die cut the bird the eye gets cut out but it didn't so I added a dot of glue to the back to keep it in and then added the dot of ink. We have some red cardinals here and I love seeing them.

Sadly Spellbinders hasn't updated their datafeed on the page where I get my product links for ages so most of my links will be to Scrapbook.com. If you go through my Spellbinders link in the sidebar you can search the names of the products and they'll show up for you.
