Halloween Decor and More!

While at the Mesa, AZ Stamp & Scrapbook Expo I purchased a cute wooden ghost from one of the booths. I worked on it last week and now it's on my shelf!

Isn't he adorable!! I even made the candy bag patriotic! I maybe should switch out the pumpkin for a star but I still love this!

I painted all the pieces (except eyes" with white gesso to give the wood a good base to paint. I then painted the bag, pumpkins, and eyes. I found some fun patriotic paper and used it to cover the bag front. I then embossed a piece of white card stock with Spellbinders Tiny Dots embossing folder and adhered it to the wood base. I sponged some light grey ink around the edges then sprayed it with Sheer Shimmer spray by Imagine. It really does shine!! Scrapbook.com only carries the Rose Gold in a bottle but does have a dauber version.

After we left the Expo we stopped at Cracker Barrel in Casa Grande, AZ for lunch.  Our silverware came in a cool long skinny envelope and I challenged Angie & Diane to decorate them.  Here's mine.

This is the cover. I used paper from my stash to cover both sides. I used a Photo Play die set for the words and a pumpkin from a Spellbinders die set. Lots of Wink of Stella used on the white parts of the words!

This is the back.  I kept it relatively simple but used more Spellbinders dies to decorate. The ghost on the far left is from their September 2019 Small Die of the Month, Eek-a-Boo, the mummy is from their Spooky Cottage, and the ghost on the right is from their Open House Boo.

I'll probably fill this with some goodies and send it to either the grandson or the 2 great grandsons for Halloween.

Do you send goodies in decorated boxes or bags?
