Today I start a new year of sharing my desk. I've been doing this for about 6 years now through Julia at the Stamping Ground weekly What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday blog tour. This is week 500, can you believe it!!! I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year's Eve. We spent Christmas with head colds and lots of sleeping. Was a very quiet day! But I've been busy since then working on getting ready for 2 January classes and yesterday I finished the samples and directions for my 2nd class. By golly, what a good feeling to be ready! Both my class samples are on my Upcoming Classes page, just click the tab above. We did wake to snow which is unusual for our area and it was beautiful! Cold, but beautiful! This picture above is the tree out front of our house and there is a mountain behind it, Mt. Wrightson, totally covered with clouds. Needless to say, the snow was gone in a couple hours though it didn't warm much.
My desk has recently been tidied and has projects on it for my 2nd Jan. class along with the products used so that I can get some blog posts made. These are Bridge cards. I scheduled this class last April as that's when I have to submit all the info for my Jan. - March classes. Yeah, the cards I'm teaching are a bit behind the times but that's what was popular back then.
Anyway, you can see some stuff in front of and on top of my Scan N Cut 2. On top are my samples for my Feb. class. In the middle are my 3 card samples with products used. To the right is my Platinum 6 and lots of paper scraps.
Here is a card I made last June as I played for the first time with this style of card. I actually made a bunch of these as I was involved in a swap of fun folded cards. I've been hanging on to this card for my class.
Please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out all the links to other deskers taking part today. You'll probably see some great projects while you're looking!
