A Pet Sympathy Card

We received such a sad phone call Wednesday night from our daughter.  She had to put to sleep her dog of 15 years, Betty.  She's never had children as she's a career woman but her dogs are her children.  And we  call them our grandpuppies.

I used stamp sets from The Angel Company.  The dog is from a set that's about 10 years old.  I purchased it when it first came out.  I used TAC paper from the Penelope paper pack.  And a couple Spellbinder dies and a partial Spirelli technique finished off the design.  Oh, the twine is from The Twinery.

I added dots of Stardust Clear Gel pen to the eyes and a black rhinestone for the nose.  Copic markers were used to color the dog.  We do have fond memories of Betty and will miss her, too.

Very sweet - I have this stamp set too - just can't give it up. So sad to loose a family pet especially when you have no kids, they surely do leave pawprints on your heart.

This is a nice card. The dog image is adorable. We do Love our furry pets.

Betty's pawprints of memory shall be fun to recall and treasured indeed.
Great card to share with family who also miss Betty, faithful companion and bff grandpuppy.
Keep Looking UP!
