Layered Masking...

I was playing with a technique earlier this week from the Technique Junkies newsletter called Layered Masking.  How cool!!  This is my second card as the first is mailed (but I will post a pic of it soon) to my TJ 1 on 1 swap partner.

I used an assortment of stamps.... Crackle by TAC and the scene and fisherman by StampScapes.  I chalked my scene and used a button for the sun.

The fishing line was made with a ball point pen.  My fisherman just didn't really show up well against the rocks.  And I tried with this second picture to show the water as I added lines with the Stardust Clear Gel pen.  Looks really cool in person!

Have you been stamping?  Anything special?  Would love to hear from you!

How fun is this card - great minds think alike - I made a card using TJ from this month and I used Stampscapes. I will have to try this technique as soon as I get rid of this sinus infection I have been nursing for a week. TFS.

Guy cards are so hard to do - and you've captured the outdoorsy scene perfectly. LOVE how the background stamp mimics weathered stone.
